Eberhard Bosslet (b. 1953) practices include painting, light art, environmental sculpture and photography. In 1981 he co-founded the project room / gallery MOPEDS, as well as the group of artists MATERIAL & EFFECT eV, both in Berlin. He has been awarded in 1987 with the Bremer Art Award and in 1993 with the Hans-Purrmann Award. He has been presented by the documenta 8 and was invited to numerous exhibitions throughout Europe and the USA, including TEA – Espacio de Las Artes in Spain, Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin, Sprengel Museum Hannover, Saarlandmuseeum Saarbrücken, Kunstverein Trier in Germany, Künstlerhaus Bregenz in Austria and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam in The Netherlands. For his academic practice, Bosslet studied painting at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin. (1975-1982). Since 1997, Bosslet is a professor of Sculpture and Spatial Concepts at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts.
